Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of nomadrelocationco.com and moving or related services provided by Nomad Relocation Co., LLC (“Nomad,” “we,” or “us”). Your written estimate, order for service, bill of lading, applicable tariff, valuation selection, and other move-specific documents are part of your agreement with us. If these website terms conflict with applicable law or your move-specific documents, the applicable law and move-specific documents control.

Quotes, estimates, and pricing

Quotes and estimates are based on the inventory, services, access conditions, distance, crew requirements, dates, and other information provided by the customer or identified during a survey. Local moves may be billed hourly, including applicable minimums and travel time, or at an agreed flat rate, as stated in the written estimate. Interstate estimates will identify whether they are binding or non-binding.

A binding estimate applies only to the inventory, services, and conditions described in that estimate. Added items, requested services, changed dates, undisclosed access conditions, or other changes in scope may affect the charges. Any permitted adjustment will be explained and documented before additional work continues.

Booking, deposits, cancellation, and rescheduling

A move date is reserved only after all required booking steps, including any stated deposit, are completed. Unless the written estimate or booking confirmation expressly states otherwise, deposits are non-refundable and are credited toward the final charges.

Cancellations and rescheduling are subject to the terms shown in the written estimate or booking confirmation. Rescheduling is subject to availability and may result in a different rate or service window.

Payment

Payment is due as stated in the written estimate, order for service, bill of lading, or invoice. We may accept cash, check, credit or debit card, or another approved payment method. Any processing fee, service charge, or other payment condition will be disclosed where applicable and permitted by law.

Services and customer responsibilities

Nomad will provide the moving, packing, transportation, storage coordination, or related services described in the customer’s written documents. Furniture protection, packing, disassembly and reassembly, certificates of insurance, elevator coordination, parking arrangements, and other services are included only when stated or confirmed in writing.

Customers must provide accurate information about the inventory, addresses, stairs, elevators, walking distance, parking, building restrictions, specialty items, high-value articles, and requested services. Changed or undisclosed conditions may affect the required labor, equipment, schedule, or charges.

Valuation and claims

Valuation coverage establishes the mover’s contractual liability for loss or damage and is not the same as insurance. For interstate household-goods moves, Full Value Protection applies unless the customer waives it in writing and selects Released Value Protection of $0.60 per pound per article. Applicable valuation charges, deductibles, and limitations will be disclosed in the estimate, tariff, and shipping documents.

For moves within Massachusetts, the selected valuation option, applicable tariff, and move documents control. Articles of extraordinary value, generally items worth more than $100 per pound, must be identified to Nomad in writing before the move.

Loss or damage should be reported promptly. Claims must be submitted in writing within the period required by the applicable tariff, bill of lading, and law. Interstate claims must be filed no later than nine months after delivery, or the scheduled delivery date if the shipment was not delivered.

Items we cannot transport

We do not transport hazardous, illegal, flammable, explosive, or unsafe materials, including fuel, propane, paint, ammunition, and similar items. Other restricted items include perishables, plants on interstate routes, cash, jewelry, medications, and irreplaceable personal documents. Customers must not place prohibited items in packed containers. Ask your coordinator before moving any questionable item.
